How Could They?

I wish I could say that I find the Holiday Inn a fine example of 20th century architecture or a masterpiece of post modern construction or whatever... but I can't because I think it's downright ugly and, somehow, its positioning next to the sublime beauty of the bank next door, notice the discretion of its sign, only serves to enhance its ugliness.

Angela, you captured an interesting contrast of old and new architectures in the photo. I like old architecture myself. I live in an 1928 building and love it. New constructions, when done right can be very beautiful. But unfortunately, there are too many ugly new buildings out there.
