Mimosa in the Flower Market

Mimosa's everywhere here at this time of year bringing with it a bit of sunshine and a promise of Spring in the dreary days of January. Bring a bunch indoors and it perfumes the air with a rich vanilla scent.

We planted three trees in our garden and it appears I'm allergic to it. Pity

WOW! Thanks for the beautiful, informative photo. I have never seen a mimosa bloom before and didn't know it smells like vanilla.

I've seen the small mimosa pudica plant or "shy plant" where the leaves close when you touch it. The other type of mimosa I know is something you drink for breakfast. :-)

I'm definitely not allergic to the kind you drink for breakfast!

There's that mimosa again!
I can just smell it now....well in my mind I can. For now it's just the dirty smell of London!
