Almost Nice: Juan Les Pins

On a nice Sunday everyone seems to get in their car and head out...anywhere. We went down to the coast to Juan les Pins which is always quite an interesting place with usually some sort of buzz going on and were rewarded by the sight of these two cars out for a spin. Their traffic jam was my opportunity; I called to the guy in the Jag and, yes, I could take a photo. I managed two before the traffic moved.
I've just posted one on my other blog which Richard commented on so I thought I'd post the second here as well as the first photo.
Richard identified them as a Jaguar XK120 and an Austin Healey 3000 and seeing them was a first for me.

Two beautiful pictures of what appears to be an expensive automobile. The one behind it looks expensive too. Does automobile insurance work the same in your country? We must insure out cars and also those people who might run into our car. Our laws say we must have insurance but some people drive without it until it is time to renew their automobile license again and then they buy insurance.

Interesting post and pictures are great.

Lovely photos of two old British sports cars.
When the Jaguar XK120 was first released in about 1948, it cost ₤375 and when tested on a German autobahn attained a speed of 125 miles per hour or 201 kilometres an hour. It would be worth a fortune, today. That's the first time I have seen a left-hand-drive version!
