Summer means increased traffic accidents everywhere but areas that attract tourists seem more prone than most. France is notorious for its accident statistics but the government, local and national, is cracking down on speeding motorists and here's one way they're doing it...radar. Motorists are warned in advance to slow down so they can hardly complain when they're flashed. This particular camera has been in place a while now but I noticed last week there's a new one on the motorway between home and the airport though, obviously, I couldn't pull over to snap that one..
