Parc Phoenix: Fountains

I was very taken with this view across the park and the way the water softened the hard edges of the buildings behind. The gardens are situated right in the middle of a busy area with traffic laden roads on two sides and the airport runway less than 300 metres away. As you can guess it's not a quiet location in fact you can constantly hear the drone of planes taxiing as you wander through the trees and plants. The green calm of the gardens provides a welcome respite from all the bustle of everyday life...

We can't hear the noise when we look at the image of the fountain - so the effect is calming. Nice photo!

Angela, You describe the photo and the setting very well. The sound of water is very restful and nature is a balm for our crowded, noisy days.

But what in the heck is that statue????? Looks like a twisted foot or hand. I am not sure about that but the fountain is very pretty.

It's a beautiful fountain. There should be one such fountain in the middle of every busy area, for a calming effect. I too can't figure out what the statue is.
Lovely photo.

Refreshing and visually pleasing. Fountains are our urban zen.
