Le Liber' tea
Not a bad way of marking the end of Summer and beginning of Autumn. This is Place Magenta in the heart of the zone piétonne, the pedestrian zone surrounding Rue Massena. When you're presented with lots of choice how do you choose your restaurant: menu, degree of charm, good looking, attentive waiters? The name drew me to this one but after taking time to decide there were no free tables....so we had a sandwich on the beach.

I would have called it Liber-thé. And then gone slowly out of business.
What a beautiful way to spend the last days of summer. Very pleasing.

avec le temps de ce weekend, cela devait être un plaisir de prendre un verra à la terrasse de ce restaurant.
What a lovely way to spend an afternoon, on the patio with an apertif. I like your alternative beach picnic too.
The beach or the cafe? Either one would do for me. Nice shot.
It definitely looks like a great place for a sip. Sandwich on the beach another great opeion. At least you got a great photo out of it.
THe busy restaurants will have superior food. But you always must wait. The beach is a good choice too.
With the nice beachs you must have and this sun shine, I would prefer like you to stay in the sand.
It looks like at the beginning of autumn the shade is still much appreciated. I am glad you enjoyed the before and after shots of tempe House, and understand the development dilemma. Thanks for visiting!

Who says Autumn is arriving? Are you kidding? Come here, all is grey, rainy, we wear jackets.
I'm jealous! Fortunately, I 'll come to Menton at the end of October. Weather can't be worst than here.
I wish I was there. What a lovely way to absorb the day. :)
Nice sunny day...
Thanks for sharing the pic.
:)
Food first, ambiance next, service third. Oh, and let's not forget budget. ;)
Looks like a lovely place to spend the day — eating, chatting with friends and watching people.
It looks a great place, Angela and I love the name. for me, welcome, ambiance are so important. Food too but I don't want fab food and no ambiance. Hopefully we get it all and usually we do.
Baguette along the prom for me. Gray and I are increasingly jealous. We are dropping sveral hints to the beeb that they need a Politiical Cartoonist in Provence but no joy.
Guess you can tell how good the place is by how many customers it has. I just love the name of this place. :-)
Just back from a fabulous week in Nice, didn't get to this one but tried a few on Rue Massena.
Good-looking waiters? I may just have fallen for one at O'Palermo on Rue Massena....
Loving your blog by the way: always brings back wonderful memories of my favourite French city!
Oh...decisions, decisions! Ambience, food, and lastly service. However, if the service is horrible, then this ruins the ambience, eh? Still---love the photo!
