Sunday Mornings: Testing the Water

I've lived here for 23 years but watching someone voluntarily go for a swim in mid November, and she did swim, still amazes me and makes me shiver. Which is a joke really as both sea and air temperatures were probably warmer than the UK on a nice Summer day!

I think if I could wear that suit, I'd be out in it, no matter what the weather.

Is Sunday morning going to be Bikini Day on Nice Daily Photo from now on?

If so I'd like to buy a subscription please. Wait, I already have a subscription. Got a little excited for a moment.

My husband's going to love this! ;)

What's your temperature like there now? I've discovered that northerners' definition of 'warm' doesn't quite fit ours.

Bad joke. You no how cold it gets here. It has to be a really hot day to get us to run tinot the Irish Sea.

I can't get over how she is able to walk across those rocks barefoot.

16°C according to the BBC!

Oof! I'd be curled up in front of a fire in that sort of weather!

I love the way your page background was almost meant for that one picture too! Sweet!

Sunday morning was somewhere between warm and hot, at a guess probably 21 degrees. since then, though, it's been cooler but even in December the middle of the day can be warm enough to eat Christmas dinner outside.

Biting Midge. Coincidence really but I like blue..

I'm quite spoiled with very warm water here on Maui, and even when I visit Kauai, the ocean water seems chilly. And I know full well from experience how chilly that water is for me! Hah! But some people have different body thermostats! And the water can be bracing to them.

One gets used to warm temperature easily.

21C will still be too cold for me to get into the water! But perfect for a walk down the beach :)
