Carolyn's Ice Balcony

This looks like an amazing ice sculpture but it is, in fact, the ice that had built up on a friend's balcony in Isola 2000. The snow there is apparently the best in living memory and may help to reinforce Nice's bid to host the Winter Olympics in 2018 which was submitted to the Comite National Olympique et Sportif Francais yesterday. The French committee will give their decision on 18th March..
(It's just occurred to me that 2018 is 9 years away. I wonder if I'll still be blogging.)

après le ratage de Paris, on peut espérer que Nice aura les JO d'hiver et tu pourras faire de superbes photos. en 2018, je pense que le mode des blogs aura bien changé

nice capture of the ice. that would be great of your city gets to host the winter olympics. you can take call kinds of interesting photos. BTW, I do agree with your comment on my website that the old, historic collector cars are not always the most comfortable. They surely cannot be driven for very long distances.

You will still be blogging, maybe with a bit lesser ice left at that time :)

That's so dramatic, even more so when you realise what it was. Will keep an eye on the Olympic bid.

Amazing for sure; a natural work of art. Good luck with the Olympics bid.

Wow, that's amazing and I hope you guys get the Olympics. Although I was just watching something on the History channel the other night that when the Olympics went to Atlanta, it brought illegal immigrants (for building) and a terribal gang problem...guess there's a down side to everything.

It looks like a glass sculpture.
Elegant and beautiful.

I give you an appointment in 2018 under this form of blog or an other. Since how much time do you blog, Angela ? For me, it's my first year.
Anyway, we'll get enough to write and photography during 9 years.
