Sky Watch Friday

The roofs of the Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Nice; I fell in love with the Cathedral last weekend and have shown several photos from various viewpoints. I promise this will be the last, at least for a while.
For anyone interested in the history of the Cathedral scroll back to Tuesday's post..

A happy sky watch to all participants and if you'd like to see more sky shots visit the Sky Watch website.

Sorry, Angela, yesterday, I didn't realize this picture was your post for Sky Watch.
So, concerning the Sky by itself, it couldn't be more mediterranean !

It is a beautiful building, I don't blame you for doing multiple post on it.

The blue of that sky is giving the blue tiles of the cathedral a run for its money. But really, that cathedral is just absolutely fantastic! I can understand why you fell in love with it.

Wow, isn't that just amazing?! A truly spectacular structure! I love the architecture! Terrific! I have never seen anything like it.

a true work of art - both the church and the photo!

This really stands as a monument to the murdered czar and his family, completed only six years before they all dyed. After the revolution Paris was awash with Russian nobility who had sought refuge there. In Niece this would have felt like a little piece of home.
A beautiful tribute to the lovely cathedral.

I clicked on the photograph to see it large, and couldn't stop looking at the details of the dome structure, bricks, the cross, walls, and every part of it.

I will be pleased to see more photographs of this beautiful Cathedral :) And, I believe most of your visitors too.

Just catching up with your blog, Angela, and look what I've missed! This series on the Russian Orthodox Church is just amazing. I've been to Nice many times and haven't seen it, so where is it! And where is the little chapel you showed a few days ago. I can see a trip to Nice must be on the cards, and not only to see YOU.
