Cannes

Today is the opening day of the Cannes Film Festival and I'd hoped to be there in the heart of the action but there's disruption on the trains and to take the car would oblige me to spend hours in traffic jams. I'm disappointed but tomorrow's a holiday, Ascension Day, so I'm planning on driving into town while every one's still having breakfast.

I simply can't miss this!
