I came across an antique and up market junk market on Monday in the centre of Nice. Normally I'd have been in there hunting down a bargain but, sadly, I had things to do and people to see...But I did snatch five minutes here. Like a magpie I'm attracted to the bright and glittery and these old stage props were splendid and I loved the black cloche hat on the left....

Oh that's a great photo, Angela. Brings back all the days of dressing up as a child - and an adult!

Jilly:- I was sooo tempted by the hats but we don't seem to go to so many fancy dress parties these days. I'm just a big kid at heart!

Oh, Angela - you could've worn it to my party last night ;-)
Thanks for coming and making it so much more special...
I've been meaning to go to the flea market in NYC for the last couple of weekends. Your photo prompts me to go next weekend.
Cute photo! Did you try one the hat and boa??
No I didn't try them on because I already have a boa. Seriously.
And the hat was just a shade expensive to sit in the cupboard most of the time so I didn't dare try it on..
But flea markets are great places full of fascinating stuff. My husband once picked up a circular slide rule that has some value but he keeps it because he likes it.
Good luck.
Angela
