Grasse.

Still in Grasse; my daily routine has me here frequently and leaves me no time to visit Nice to replenish my photos so I hope you'll bear with me because Grasse is a very interesting city and I have lots to show you...
This type of place is frequently found in Mediterranean towns and villages: there are trees for shade and a pleasant bistrot to eat your lunch or maybe take an aperitif after work in the warm months, surrounded by houses painted in bright, warm colours and bristling with satellite dishes!
In fact much of the old town is undergoing renovation, badly needed in some cases. In one street it's possible to see the exterior of a house where Catherine De Medici stayed in the 15th century and it's easy to believe that it hasn't been repaired since.
So chapeaux to the Ville de Grasse.

We spent a day in Grasse several years ago and visited a perfumerie.
We sampled several perfumes and the gorgeous fragrances still come to mind!
A most beautiful place!!

Thank you for your comments..
I couldn't really call it the Provence DP as I don't wander much further than 30 minutes, about 20 kms from Nice though it would be so tempting..
