Cannes Film Festival 1

Well, I made it to Cannes and here's the famous red carpet trodden last night by Jude Law and Norah Jones, among others, at the opening ceremony.
A very small survey of "My Blueberry Nights" suggested that it's a girl film and that Norah Jones can act as well as sing so I'll add it to my "must see" list.
The town itself was buzzing with official looking people with badges, police and families making for the beach...
No stars, not one, and no one asked me for my autograph either...Pity.

One year ago I was saying goodbye to Nice after a few days on vacation. Had I stayed a little longer I´d have gonne to Cannes to see all the excitement of the festival!

You should perch provocatively at a cafe; maybe you'll be "discovered"!

le tapis rouge, l'escalier : le reve, les fantasmes....Alors tu l'as monte cet escalier ?

j'aime bien norah jones comme chanteuse, mais les critiques ne sont pas bonnes pour elle comme actrice

Looks pretty festive!
The nerve of those people-not instantly recognizing the DP photographer!
May I have your autograph?

How exciting! Hope you catch some stars or if not at least a good flick!

Very nice job on this photo! I feel like I'm attending myself...

Now, if we could only figure out how to get you a press pass ;-)

Angela, are tickets to the movie premiers available to the public? Or are they invitation only premiers?

Recently, we had the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC and there was an uproar over the $15 movie tickets.
