Cannes Film Festival 4

Cannes Film Festival is all about ostentation and luxury while the deals, the real reason why the movers and shakers of the film world are here, are done backstage.
Should you chance to sell your film then you might be tempted to treat yourselves to one of these babies.

Cannes Film Festival: Meet The Fans

These are hardcore fans most of whom have been coming to star gaze for many years and have set up camp in the central reservation of La Croisette directly opposite the red carpet. The ones in the best places have been there 2 days before a star even set foot in Cannes.
They had a great atmosphere going, joking with police and passers-by, eating, drinking, reading in the sun. They had parasols and ladders and I hope the weather's kind to them...
"My Blueberry Nights" hasn't received good reviews, unfortunately. I'd managed to talk to 3 people who'd had tickets and they had all enjoyed it.

Cannes Film Festival 1

Well, I made it to Cannes and here's the famous red carpet trodden last night by Jude Law and Norah Jones, among others, at the opening ceremony.
A very small survey of "My Blueberry Nights" suggested that it's a girl film and that Norah Jones can act as well as sing so I'll add it to my "must see" list.
The town itself was buzzing with official looking people with badges, police and families making for the beach...
No stars, not one, and no one asked me for my autograph either...Pity.
