Chateau Begude
Golf is big business here and I can count three good golf courses within a 10 minute radius from where I live.
I don't play myself but because the courses attract lots of foreign visitors the restaurants are usually pretty good.
I took this photo from my table; now who could resist eating amidst all this greenery?

That is one beautiful golf course! Lovely!
That is a calming atmosphere to eat dinner in. To be surrounded by that scene makes the cost of the meal a little more but in the end it might be worth it. You certainly were able to capture the scene. Your photography is good.
I would love to eat there. I always love green places...
Oh, I thought this was the view from your kitchen table and was wondering who does all that grass mowing ;-)
I'm not fan of golf, but I don't mind eating :)
I could sit here and have a nice meal... no problems
off to have a look around your blog.
nice mature green..simply wonderful!
Beautiful scene. Bet it's pleased with the rain we've had lately!
Even though I know the lawns are cleared by humans to make the golf courses, I love the beautiful flatness and emptiness in the middle of the forest. It has a very calming effect on me.
BTW, my mom used to work near a golf course and they installed mesh wire screens on the windows now after a couple of errand golf balls flew through the windows.
I hope you didn't find a golf ball in your salad. :-)
hands-down the most beautiful photo in the portal today!
gorgeous shot-hope you lingered over lunch....
Yes, there certainly is lots of green out there. I haven't been on a golf course in decades and probably should revisit. Hear the greens fees are now exorbitant, tho. I have a concern, tho, of courses in places like Phoenix and Santa Fe. Water problems are huge there and are getting worse so I wonder what the rationale and defense would be for maintaining them with their abundant use of water?
Thank you all for the comments and compliments.
Kate: I've been told that many of the new courses have closed watering systems because water or lack of it is a huge concern here too.
And, no, Ming, thankfully no golf balls in the food.

My partner's a golfer and looking to retire soon. Nice to know about Nice!
