It's Cold and Wet
The Vilebrequin swimwear shop in the pedestrian area. Vilebrequin is a French brand that was created in St Tropez (where else?) in the 1970s when the founder took a chequered tablecloth and cut it up to make comfortable swimming shorts. The business enjoyed a small success but only really took off when bought by its present owner. As in so many cases having a clever idea simply isn't enough.
Anyhow, the brand now has passionate followers and you can find the shops in all the major riviera towns as well as in Paris and the US. Personally I love their fabric designs which are always colourful and summery. I especially like the matching father and son range which you can just catch a glimpse of in the window but I can just imagine the look on my husband's face if I'd suggested he and our son wore matching swimming shorts...

c'est pas une tenue pour l'hiver ;o)) aujourd'hui on a vu des flocons sur Évry, mais pas longtemps...
Your husband sounds like mine. Although I think swimming trunks like those would really enhance his appearance! The design you featured is very nice!! Bathing suits for women, too??
"Gone tanning" Is it possible elsewhere than in Nice?
Believe me or not I didn't know this brand.
There was a time when the matchy suits would cut it. Not now I suppose. Gone tanning? where? a booth???
:)
It is peace in Mumbai at last.
Thank you for all your prayers and good wishes.
Pray for all those who lost their lives and may God give strength to their near and dear ones to bear their irreparable loss.
Really nice trunks - my husband would like them / my teen son would not get near them. Love the sign! Great find.
I agree with Tash, my husband would wear them but Christian would not, he's so picky..he has a reputation you know!
I'd love to go tanning right now, I'm freezing!
Hi Angela! Congratulations on your 200th post!!
Vilebrequin is everywhere; I bought my shorts (blue turtles) in Mauritius... ;))
Meanwhile Blogtrotter is still in Tunisia, now at the Blue Village! Hope you enjoy and have a great week!
