Beachcombing

I was sitting in one of those nice blue chairs enjoying the ozone in my lungs and the spray on my face when the noise of machinery disturbed my calm. On investigation it proved to be an earth mover redistributing the shingle after the storms.

après la tempête, la promenade des anglais se refait une beauté. Cela doit être super d'avoir la mer tout les jours devant soit.

I thought they were doing the same thing in Menton but in fact they were making enormous mounds for the Pompier's 4 wheel drives to take disabled kids for rides on the day of the Telethon. Lovely shot. Great colours.

I didn't realize they did that!

People passing by after the machinery, could find lost treasures on the surface! Maybe.

I've never heard of them before, much less seen one. All we have are those huge bulldozers — and people to sweep the beaches (not in Manila) with brooms.

And about your comment: yes, I've increased the resolution of the photos I upload and link directly to them rather than let Blogger resize the photos. But I've also just discovered the 'sharpen edges' filter of my little image app. :)

I've never seen one of these on the beach before. The color blue of your ocean is incredible!

I like this photo but the one of yesterday is just perfect, in my opinion. The curve of the wave and the curve of the chairs, without speaking about this family of blues...Wow.
Thank you for being now one of my followers.

I adore the azore. Who needs photoshop when you have such a beautiful colour.

We get a lot of leaf blowers/or mini street sweepers disturbing our calm at various places. This little guy looks useful and tough.
P.S.- on starting flight lessons before driving - the BIG advantage is that the flight instructor has the ability to take FULL control at any time. I'd make a real bad instructor (even if I knew how to fly) cuz I'd have a tough time letting go of the controls.

Oh this is the perfect time for getting out there with a metal detector. I'm sure they are gold dabloons and pieces of eight...

Gorgeous aqua blue seas! I am happy to sit here and view this scene, earth mover and all! (we have snow above our boot tops, a blizard warning for this weekend.)
