Blue and Yellow

Yes, I know it could be anywhere so I'm afraid you'll have to take my word that this is a mimosa nicoise. It was hanging over a wall in suburban Nice and I snapped it as I passed mainly for Ming who hasn't seen a mimosa tree.
I loved the vibrant yellow against the blue, two colours that are always associated with Provence.
I haven't edited the photo; the sky really was that blue today, a nice change after the cold.

Angela, thank you for the photo again. I didn't realize the plant can grow that high. I wish I can smell it too.

Next time I go to the Cote D'azur, I will have to look out for it.

Of course you know that mimosa is originally from Australia don't you? But I have to say Nice and the Riviera brought the mimosa to a whole new level. Beautiful!

to get an idea of what mimosa smells like, L'Occitane has a scent called Mimosa -- the note is pretty clear even tho there are other things in the blend.
