Almost Nice: St Laurent du Var 3
While we're here why don't we stop for a bite to eat? We're definitely spoilt for choice...but
I'd choose Le Palais de l'Orient so I do hope you like North African food. I particularly like tajine, a stew cooked in pots shaped like those on the table. It's made from meat, usually lamb or chicken with fruit, lemons, apricots or plums and the taste after a few hours slow cooking is sublime....

Yummy, this sounds too delicious, Angela. Such an inviting photograph. Wonderful colours. J x
I did not expect those colors in Nice! Very different and nice!
I'd love to join you for a tajine stew (but can we leave the lamb out?).
The setting is really nice. I have never seen such a nice place before this.

Hummm. deja le decor est tres beau et la nourriture orientale est tellement bonne...un bon tajine avec apres une Mahia (c'est un alcool de figue), de bonne crepe au miel et un bon the vert.Hummmmmmm
Your recipe is very mouth-watering & nice colours in the shot too...very well captured!
Miam!
Sounds delish; post a photo of what you had for lunch, especially if it was the tagine.
Yummy stew - I like lamb. The decor is very beautiful. What are the things on the table - just decoration or is there something in there?
Angela, I love tagine! I love the preserved lemons and raisins with chicken. And I love couscous. In fact, I just ate at a Moroccan restaurant two weeks ago.
Any photo of the food?
Sorry no photo but when I go back, and I will, I'll take one.
The ornamental pots on the table are shaped like tajine dishes though these are brass and usually they're earthernware. And under each was a plate of North African pastries.
