One Sunny Saturday: Corsica Ferry
While on the subject of boats: this is, of course, the ferry that runs between Nice and Corsica which had just berthed. It is enormous. It dwarfs absolutely everything...and that dayglo yellow is hard to miss. If you're tempted by a day or two on the island here's the information you'll need to go by ferry and by taking the fast boat you could even make it a day trip.
The hill opposite above the ferry is the Chateau park where I took yesterday's photo and you can easily see why it was an invaluable defensive position. At the bottom of the cliff on the left, half hidden by trees, is the war memorial.

Can that big Yellow Boat get out by going to the right? I can't imagine how it will maneuver out of there. I would love to see that War Memorial up close please. :)
Corsica is such a fabulous island. I went a few years ago - drove right around and just adored it. The ferry speeds weren't anything like this tho. So fast now. Lovely shot, Angela.

Virginia: yes I'll get a photo for you but it won't be this week...it's a very imposing memorial.
Dusty Lens: I think it's one of the most beautiful cities in the world though of course it has its no-go areas.
Tut-Tut: yes I agree. I really can't think why it has be yellow or at least so yellow..
The ferry looks effectively too big for the harbour!!

I have never seen such a humungous ferry. The yellow is garish but there is no missing this one.
