Place Massena
Place Massena used to be a nightmare of traffic jams and frayed tempers. To navigate it successfully required 100% concentration but now, with the traffic all but banished it's possible to appreciate the beauty of the buildings and people can stroll or cycle across the expanse of this spectacular space.
You can see the sculptures on top of the poles and to be honest, I have no idea what they are or what they're meant to represent...any ideas?

I love how you've caught the design of the paving stones - what a pleasant place to stroll, especially now that you don't worry about being run over. Those statues are really strange.
Oh great shot, Angela.
Your shot does indeed convey a peaceful stroll. I can't imagine motor traffic here.

Motorist - don't know what happened there!!!
