Sunflowers

Place Grimaldi, Saturday lunch time. 3 euros 50 for a pot full of sunshine. I just wish I could have taken the wagon too...

Is It Him?
Catherine, author of The Five of Us, sent me a mail wondering if the unknown young man in the park could be the son of her friend. She's published a photo of him on her blog. Scroll down my page to "Chillin'" and you can see the photo I took. I think there's definitely a resemblance but I'd need to check out his feet! What do you think?
Go and read her charming stories of family life in Paris...

PS If you're in Nice or coming to Nice or just interested here's a great map. Click on Patrimoine and it'll show you all the most interesting places some with photos. If you're looking for a specific street just feed it into the search box.

Love that the sunflowers are in the decorative cart (gorgeous cart) but also in the restaurant too. What a charming place to take a cup of coffee.

I went to the five of us and had a look but couldn't remember the color of this guy's trousers. Now that I am back, I can't remember the color of the bag in the other photo. I guess the only way is to copy both photos and compare thing for thing. I still think you realized this would cause a flurry of activity on the blogs this morning and planned it.

I know it sure got my attention. LOL

What an inspiration this will be.

What gorgeous sunflowers! And I'd love to take home the wagon too.

Those chairs are just too comfortable! If I sit on that in the sun, I'll fall asleep for sure!

Beautiful scene; I feel very French just looking at it.

But it would be fun if it were the same young man..

There are similar carts in New Mexico also. Colourful objects always are pleasurable!

That wagon full of sunflowers is a perfect frame for the little cafe. Great Photo.

Have to check out the map and the young man, but I'm far to ditsracted not by the gorgeoues sunflowers, but by that magical word crepes. I adore them.

I wish I was coming to Nice and I do love the sunflowers. I'd love to sit in that cafe and just watch the people while eating some crepes!
